I ran across this wonderful Recipe for homemade tortillas and I cannot eat the store bought kind any more. These are so easy to make and SO delicious! I make these homemade tortillas a couple times a week. In fact, I made them tonight because we ate all 16 from my last batch three days ago! Even if you don’t bake or cook, you can make these, and you will be so glad you did. Here are some photos of the process;
Mix the five ingredients together until it is very smooth dough.
3 cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/3 cup veg. oil, and 1 cup water.
Pour the dough out onto floured surface and tear into 16 equalish (this is not an exact science, mine are always different sizes and shapes when I’m done, but it makes them look more homemade) pieces.
Roll them out flat, very flat. Cook them over high heat for about 15-20 seconds on each side. They will bubble up and look so yummy!
And that’s it! You now have homemade tortillas ready to eat!
